Today, because of COVID-19 related cancellations, we are letting you know that the suspension of services will continue at least until May 1, 2020.

We will continue to monitor the state suspensions of elective surgery procedures and stay in contact with you during the coming weeks. During the week of April 27, 2020, we will communicate our decision to either extend the suspension of services or tell you how to confirm your May surgery dates.

If you reside in a state that has not issued an order banning elective surgery, and you have cases that you wish to complete, we can explore our limited resources to try and find a solution for you.  If we discover acceptable dates, and you choose to schedule a day, the minimum number of cases as outlined in your service agreement will apply.  To explore this option, please contact the Operations Director who services your state below.

Sightpath will remain well positioned to successfully reactivate operations as soon as this crisis ends. We will keep our communication channels open and be prepared to reactivate your surgery schedule as soon as restrictions are lifted, and you are ready to go.

If you are a customer with fixed equipment and supplies, please maintain control of those assets so that they are available when you notify us that you are ready to resume services. During these unprecedented, unique times we all face challenging decisions. Unfortunately, directives issued by state governments, local health systems, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology to stop all elective surgeries are making it impossible for any of us to sustain normal operations. As a result, effective Monday, March 30, 2020, we will temporarily suspend operations.

We are taking this critical step for patient safety, and to help us sustain the people and families who are Sightpath. Sightpath will remain well positioned to successfully reactivate operations as soon as this crisis ends.
