Sightpath Medical Announces 2012 Award Recipients

Sighpath Medical recently hosted a national Sales & Operations meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 4-day event culminated in the Sightpath Medical Awards Dinner where five employees were recognized for their contributions to the company. Congratulations to the winners on this honor and their outstanding accomplishments!


Lifetime Achievement Award: Richard Minors
Richard (Dick) Minors began his career with Sightpath in 2001 and has since held a variety of upper-management positions within the Sightpath organization. He helped lead the sales team to record growth and territory expansion throughout his tenure and has played in role in the hiring or training of a large majority of the current SPM sales team. Dick has been integral in the success of SPM and in helping to create an inclusive company culture. He was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of these contributions and for his hard work, loyalty and friendship over the years.

I am Sightpath Award: Heather Kummet
Heather began her career at Sightpath in 2003 as an Inventory Specialist. She has since been promoted to Inventory Operations Manager and oversees all aspects of inventory control and related process for the company. She is viewed as a resource by her co-workers and customers, remains steadfast in support of company initiatives and has been instrumental in promoting a positive culture within the organization. Heather received multiple nominations for this honor and was presented the first annual “I am Sightpath” award for her ongoing outstanding performance and contribution to the company.

“Can-Do” Attitude Award: Dan Decker
Dan Decker has been instrumental in the launch of new product lines such as mobile Wavelight, IntraLase and LenSx. In addition to these growth initiatives, Dan continues to excel in the performance of the duties related to his position as an Operations Director in the South Central United States. Dan has been recognized for his perseverance, “can-do” attitude and outstanding achievements in 2012.

Strategic Market Manager of the Year: Jeff Huguelet
In 2012, Jeff embraced the SPM refractive initiative resulting in increased market share and unprecedented growth. He continues to outperform in the cataract arena and is poised for another year of substantial growth in 2013.  Jeff’s territory includes Michigan, Northern Illinois, Northern Indiana and parts of Wisconsin.

Operations Director of the Year: Phil Kraling
Phil’s area of responsibility is the North Central United States including Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and parts of Minnesota. He is a long tenured employee who has been recognized numerous times for his exceptional performance, positive attitude and overall contribution to the company. This is the second consecutive year that Phil has received this well-deserved award.
